The Town of Coaldale is processing a Road Closure Bylaw (Bylaw 931-P-02-26) in order to facilitate the realignment of an internal road network within the Canal Crossings ASP area. The proposed road closure will result in the disposal of the road allowance through consolidation with adjacent lots, and will allow for the dedication of a new road located slightly south (approximately 3-4 metres) of the location of the current road to be closed.
Public Hearing for proposed Road Closure Bylaw 931-P-02-26 will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 during the Regular Council Meeting at Civic Square (1801 20 Avenue, Coaldale).
Anyone wishing to make a presentation regarding the proposed Bylaw should, in writing, notify the Town of Coaldale no later than 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. Both written and verbal presentations may be made to Council at the Public Hearing. Comments can be dropped off at the Town Office during regular business hours, or emailed to Spencer Croil, Director of Corporate and Strategic Initiatives at spencer.croil@coaldale.ca. Written comments are requested to be submitted no later than 4 pm, Thursday, April 2nd, 2026.
